The fastest way to achieve a perfect Maillard crust on salmon. These bite-sized pieces are caramelized on the outside and tender within, serving as an ideal post-workout recovery meal.
Ingredients (2 servings)
- 12 oz (340 g) salmon fillet, skinless, cubed
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) soy sauce
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) honey
- 1 tsp (3 g) garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp (2 ml) sesame oil
Instructions
- Toss the salmon cubes in a bowl with the soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, and sesame oil.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the salmon bites in a single layer in the basket. Do not overcrowd.
- Air fry for 7–9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the edges are dark and crispy.
Pro Tips
- Airflow Science: Ensuring the bites don’t touch allows the hot air to circulate fully, which is the secret to getting a fried texture without the oil.
