Published: 8/10/2026
Repurposing the warm spices (cinnamon, ginger, cloves) of a carrot cake into a high-protein breakfast. This dish uses quark and eggs as a lean base to capture the moist texture users search for.
Ingredients (4 servings)
- 2 cups (480 g) plain quark or Greek yogurt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup (50 g) rolled oats
- 2 apples, chopped
- 1 tsp (3 g) ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp (1 g) ground ginger
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) sugar-free maple syrup
Instructions
- Mix the quark, eggs, oats, and spices until smooth.
- Fold in the chopped apples.
- Pour into a greased baking dish.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes until the center is set and no longer jiggles.
Pro Tips
- Let It Set: Let the bake sit for 5 minutes after removing it from the oven — the oats will continue to absorb moisture and firm up the structure.
