Published: 8/10/2026
Pork tenderloin is an elite lean protein source. This recipe uses autumn aromatics and the slow cooker to ensure the meat remains succulent and tender.
Ingredients (4 servings)
- 2 lbs (900 g) pork tenderloin
- 2 tart apples, sliced
- 1 cup (130 g) sliced leeks
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) unsweetened apple cider
- 1 tbsp (3 g) fresh sage, chopped
- 1/2 tsp (3 g) kosher salt
Instructions
- Place the leeks and apple slices in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Season the pork with the salt and sage; place it on top of the fruit base.
- Pour the apple cider over the meat.
- Cook on LOW for 4 hours.
- Verify the internal temperature has reached 145°F (63°C) before slicing.
Pro Tips
- Do Not Overcook: Pork tenderloin lacks the fat of a shoulder roast and will become dry if cooked for 8+ hours — stick to the 4-hour window.
