Ingredients (4 servings)
- 8 oz (225 g) cold-smoked or hot-smoked salmon, flaked
- 1 lb (450 g) spaghetti or linguine
- 1 1/2 cups (360 ml) heavy cream
- Zest and juice of half a lemon
- 1/2 cup (30 g) fresh dill, finely chopped
- 1/4 tsp (0.5 g) black pepper
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente.
- In a separate wide pan, bring the heavy cream to a gentle simmer over medium heat for about 5 minutes until it reduces slightly.
- Stir in the lemon zest, lemon juice, black pepper, and half of the fresh dill.
- Drain the pasta and add it to the cream sauce, tossing thoroughly to coat.
- Turn off the heat. Add the flaked smoked salmon pieces at the very end. Gently toss just to heat the salmon through.
- Garnish with the remaining fresh dill and serve immediately.
Pro Tips
- Add Salmon Last: Adding the smoked salmon only after removing the pan from the heat preserves the delicate texture of the fish and prevents it from becoming tough or overly salty.
