Published: 7/31/2026
A succulent and fast way to prepare salmon using a sweet-and-salty glaze that caramelizes in the oven. A modern favorite for quick, high-quality dinners.
Ingredients (4 servings)
- 1.5 lbs (680 g) salmon fillet
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) honey
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) soy sauce
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp (1 g) black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the salmon fillet on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, and pepper.
- Brush the glaze generously over the top of the salmon.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, depending on thickness, until the fish flakes easily.
- For succulent results, use a meat thermometer to pull the salmon when the internal temperature reaches 125°F–135°F.
Pro Tips
- Temperature Matters: Monitoring the internal temperature is the most reliable way to ensure the salmon remains moist. Pulling the fish at 125°F and letting it rest results in a perfect medium-rare to medium finish.
